wondering now about the new songs on russ's songs from the warehouse album

i wonder if they were recently written or if some were written a long time ago and he just didn't do anything with them yet until now

or a combination of both

like, did he just go through his giant catalog of songs and pick some out

"songs from the warehouse" makes it sound like they've been in storage for a long time

and if so, i wonder if they were all fully written or if some were partially written, just song ideas, and then he just finished writing them for the album, kind of like he did with new york groove when he only had the idea for it and then wrote the rest of it on the spot in the studio

there are lots of thoughts circling around in my head

it's kind of fun not knowing but i also need to know and hear everything right this second
